"Socle is golden!" How many of you are getting sick of hearing that? Anyway, here's what I want to know: are any of my fellow Socle employees NOT looking for another job?!? It seems that acting as a reference has become a second full-time job for me! (not that I mind, guys, we're all in this together)

I've heard a lot of people say they're not worried and not looking, but none that I trust. I've been applying for other jobs for a couple of months now. I wish I'd started earlier, but I had to care for a sick relative. Wish me luck!
Anon 22882 - no, I'm not buying any of it. There are other, better financial aid services firms who want nothing to do with CCi. In fact, a couple of them really hate us because we either screwed them royally (Global) or they have high placed staff who hate us (FAS). Any other buyers would be for-profit chains, and they both don't need financial aid services, and particularly don't want our people working in that area. We're tainted. Probably some campus SF staff will be kept on.
Re-branded, no. That would mean the same owners and ED et al aren't going to let that happen, especially since we do financial aid. If they can sell a large group of our schools, I could see new owners having some interest in what expertise we have in this department. Still, most for-profit chains already have centralized FA and their business is declining. I'm not sure why we'd be needed. As a separate entity, it would almost have to be to a Global FAS or the one in Atlanta GB went to. It wouldn't be for clients, that's for sure. But maybe for expertise.
Are any of Socle employees buying into a new owner will keep us or we will be re-branded???
Heck, we're hiring! Why should I be worried? Just kidding, I've been looking for weeks. I think everyone I know "in the trenches" is looking as well.
