I concur, CCI always felt that paying the salespeople was more valuable then developing the brand. CCI admissions is filled with pre 2008 mortgage rejects as well as slimy demographic matches to the student base. This is done on purpose to "find the pressure point." Personally, if you want a good school, you pay the instructors above average and appreciate their feedback. There is no sin being a smaller school, with a good reputation, that can provide a reasonable profit the right way.
23715, you are likely right about pay vs. control. I'm shocked on a daily basis that people continue to be unable to accept the sale/closing reality. The only reason can be the pay. But, I'm even more confounded about people who clearly doesn't work for CCI trying to tell us crap info we already know, as if that's going to cause employees to walk out in drives. Mass walk offs aren't going to happen. People have bills, lives and families. We can't all just up and leave. Plus, why leave now? The next job could be total crap AND low paying. People on the outside hate us. People on the outside we all have certain information. People on the outside think if they puts enough, we will all run off. But the fact is, they have treated us professionally. There are playoffs to this job, but there are with any. No matter what, people won't leave until they are laid off. And the company knows this.
I can say that instructor pay is about average. I've worked for state colleges and other for profits. There's very little difference in pay. But, instructors seem to be about the least important employee at CCI. Ironic, though that seems.
What I came to learn about CCI is CCI looks to hire the exact demographic it enrolls. Not the smartest nor the most marketable. CCI pays them way more then their true skill set is worth, which buys CCI a level of control over them. This is why CCI employees REALLY get upset when their employer is going to soon be a former employer. They know they won't make anything close to CCI money anywhere else. CCI made a fatal mistake in 2009 and 2010 when it began hiring competent professionals who were victims of the financial crisis. CCI got rid of them fast, but those people found new jobs and became the vehicles of change for CCI by taking physical documented evidence of CCIs crimes to the regulators. I guess I would be defensive to if I was getting paid $45k and would soon be looking for jobs paying $11/hr.

If you were an employee, you would know this. It's weird to post without any connection to our school. Nobody cares what you think. Literally. Peoe are here for inside info and to support each other. Not be lectured and called names. That makes you look worse.
