23749, I was an instructor at ECPO and I actually was assigned classes. They never filled. I still haven't been sent anything about it. I am just not working. My point is to tread carefully and not listen when they assure you of anything. They will lie to employees and students alike. Nobody can answer your question.
23774 - I learned a long time ago that companies tend to treat their employees and customers in a similar manner. Your closing comment applies, unfortunately, to both groups at CCI.
Well it won't be until after October when the term ends. We all have time to find another gig. Positivity goes a long way.
If it happens tomorrow, I'll be surprised we lasted this long after ED lowered the boom. Unfortunately, I know that several of my co-workers will be totally surprised that it happened. There's a disconnect between what is happening and the awareness of it. I blame management for psychologically taking advantage of vulnerable people by keeping their hopes up and sometimes outright lying to them.
If I still worked at a company being shut down by the federal government, that's exactly what I would be doing. It's not a matter of IF all CCI employees will be fired, it's now a mater of WHEN. If you are prepared for that, then you are doing all you can.
That is really a horrible thing to say. Why don't you do what you propose?
If you go about your day prepared to be fired today, u are doing the right thing.
It would be nice to know if we have jobs until October. What about after? Will there be a Fall term?
