Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Don't listen to people on this board inciting you to quit.

If you quit, they keep their jobs.

Nope, they obviously didn't. It was a pleasure to go to the Feds with the reason I was fired. They enthusiastically took my goodies and names, and now they are going under:).

"CCI fought my unemployment case" CRAZY! Didn't they have better things to do, like concentrate on gainful employment rules, or something.

CCI fought my unemployment case and they were told their reason for termination was not sufficient to deny benefits. I think almost every state that has a CCI campus is well aware of CCI and it's employment practices. I would call your state office and run the scenario past them.

I resigned, I had had enough with the constant harrasment by management. The directed remarks and discrimination applied to anyone who was in any way different from an African American. I took my issues to Division, was told I was right but management was not even chastised, but I have hit them in the pocketbook, they are being required to pay unemployment to me because of a "hostile workplace causing my resignation" document it and hang them.

12000 new competitors for jobs, just think if CCI employees were smart and listened to people on this board a year ago. In all likelihood, they would be in a better job already.

(Yes -repeating myself from the other thread....) I can't imagine that anyone is going to get a severance package (beyond earned payroll) at this point. You are right about unemployement, although I have seen scearios where unemployement was paid to someone who quit to leave an extremely poor work environment. This might qualify......In any event, staying on to collect unemployment may be a bit short-sighted, if it means you delay your job search and end-up competing with everyone else who adopts the same strategy. There are jobs out there - but you have to go after them. Now.

23900 - exactly. And there won't be a severance package for anyone who gets one.

If you quit, it will be hard or impossible to get unemployment.
