Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Bitch and moan all you want, they are cutting your pay and want you to take unpaid days off so they can ultimately fire you later

You can either quit or stfu and take it in the ass again. Today's call pretty much blows apart the "I will keep my job" or "my campus will be sold and I will keep my job" nonsense. They obviously have no buyers for the campuses and no prospects, along with no money. You were ALL warned for months and months about CCIs precarious future, you decided to stay, stfu and deal with it. Sorry management lied to you, but this board has been predicting this for a LONG time. Next time, when you work for a company that's stock is below $2 and has intense scrutiny from regulators, be an adult and leave.

My friend who worked for CCI found a job in three weeks. Jobs are out there, but you have to actually pound pavement and accept a lower salary. CCI folks aren't going to make the same money anywhere else.

I started looking the day I finally decided that I had to inform the feds of what CCi was up to. I wouldn't have been able to sleep at night if I hadn't. They never found out it was me and I have a much, much better job now!

Since you seem to think everyone should just walk in tomorrow and quit, what should we all do to pay our bills? If we quit there won't be any unemployment compensation. I will continue to work while I send out resumes.

I just left after looking for almost 3 months. Whew - what a relief! I saw the signs long before I took action, but I've been with CCi for many years and we've weathered ups and downs before. I agree that this time it's different, though. That stock comment reminded me of how I finally wised up. Do you believe that the stock was at $30 when I started? It's twenty cents a share today! Twenty cents! The market knows it's over.
