Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Look busy, people! Your jobs literally depend on it!!!

If any if the schools sell (though it doesn't appear that CCI can limp around for that long), your jobs are NOT secure. And new owners will not just be looking at reviews (because everyone knows reviews are only used to fire people.) They will likely look at your level of productivity. They will look at reports of your computer usage at work (IT tracks this) and they will look at the amount of actual work you put in on any given day. They will not keep you around if you abuse company time for personal gain. And that includes management. You can and will be replaced. Part of cci's problem is that it is too top heavy with overpaid staff. You are NOT for sale. If there are new owners, they want only the best of the best. Not crap employees who waste their days away and collect big $.

Doubt they will put that much investigative time into employee reviews.

At this point, they are cutting expenses. Even small salaries are not immune. ECPO already slashed adjunct faculty to say money. Adjunct faculty are the lowest paid. They are part time. Nobody's immune to what's going to happen.

At least in the super expensive Bay Area rest assured nobody is making "big money". It's barely enough to live on even as a salaried employee.

24103, that's unfortunate. They will go to teach out rather quickly, I suppose.

Tough to enroll when the state has put a halt to new enrollments.

Some unproductive employees will probably only make it to the first round of layoffs. Those will probably be within the next month.
