Pay cuts?

I haven't heard anything about pay cuts. Was an email sent out about this? Is is a flat dollar cut or a percentage of pay?

24128, not if you are with ECPO. They've pretty much fired all their PT adjuncts.

Nobody received an email - it was stated at a faculty meeting last night - to the night instructors. Day instructors are just receiving rumors.

Online employees have not received this email yet. I wonder if this only affects on-ground employees? Or maybe the Online Dean just hasn't spilled the beans yet.

So...if I take the "voluntary" unpaid week off in the middle of the quarter, will CCi pay for the adjunct subbing all my classes? What a joke.

The last day of summer term is Oct 5. But grades will be due on the 8th or 9th. Maybe it's no coincidence they say nothing about the end of this 10 week paycut. Maybe there won't be a fall term.

I wonder how long it will be before voluntary unpaid time off becomes involuntary furloughs...

Another fill in the blank email written by higher ups. Good luck finding any management in any schools affected by this for awhile. They will all be hiding out in fear. They do not want to answer any questions.

I just got the email too. 10% pay cut for non faculty salaried employees making over $40, Faculty is requested to take a week off without pay. No changes for hourly employees. It is only temporary.

Just heard it from our PD, anyone who makes over $40K and is PD position or up, will take a 10% pay cut immediately. This excludes adjuncts and full-time faculty. Full time faculty are being asked to take a "voluntary" week off, no pay.

Dear Faculty,

I thought of how best to communicate with you regarding an important email you will be receiving today from Jack Massimino, our CEO. I felt that a conference call on short notice might not catch all, so I opted for the impersonal email route. Let me assure you, if you have any questions or concern’s you can call me (719.522.7692 or 88001692) or email me and I will respond. As we have talked previously, we have been dealing with the DOE and Title IV funding. The Company finds itself in a cash flow crunch as a result of the slowing/review of Title IV funding. To help bridge this cash flow crunch for the month of September, the Company has requested the following actions be taken, that will potentially only affect PL’s and FTF. Adjuncts are not included in these actions, but I wanted all to be aware of these items.

Salaried Employees (excluding faculty)

• There will be a mandatory temporary 10 percent pay cut for all salaried employees who make more than $40,000/year.

• The reduction begins Aug. 3 and ends Oct. 11, and will show up on the following paychecks: August 22, September 8, September 19, October 3, and October 17.

• The mandatory cut applies to salaried (non-faculty) employees at the Campus Support Center, Socle, QuickStart, Heald, Everest, Wyotech, ECP, Online and High School.

Salaried Faculty

• For salaried faculty, the pay reduction will take the form of voluntary unpaid time off. Salaried faculty is highly encouraged to take a full week of time off without pay. The full week must be taken during a Sunday through Saturday time period; it is imperative that no work be performed during unpaid time off.

• The paycheck for the time off period will be one week less in pay.

• All time off must have a supervisor’s approval, and can be taken any time during the 10-week period (Aug. 3-Oct. 11)

Hourly Employees

• For hourly employees, the pay reduction will take the form of voluntary unpaid time off. These employees are highly encouraged to take time off without pay for up to five days. These unpaid days can be split up, for instance over two or three long weekends.

• All time-off must have a supervisor’s approval.

Please note, this is a voluntary participation on the part of the PL’s and FTF. If you choose to participate in the one week off with-out pay program, please let your PD know so that we can arrange a sub for your class.

The intent as I indicated is to bridge us through September and then move forward with either a Sale of Everest or continued operations. I am sure you have all seen this already on the web, but I wanted to make sure you heard it from me and give you the opportunity to ask any questions.

Thank you for your support,

Dick

I have only heard about it here. No announcements internally so this could be false? Or not.....seeing as communication isn't CCI's strong point.
