They announced it today in an all hands call for our department that Heald is all but sold and they are in talks with 5 potential buyers for Everest. They didn't say who but did say they would be announcing Heald soon and then following up with Everest shortly after. We are going to have more layoffs before this is all over though... It's a tough position to be in but here we are.

Listen Craig, the word of the day is J.O.B.
Two brothers that own Mineoff investments. John Mineoff is the lead partner, and the other is his brother Jack.
I heard it from a good source that Acme Inc. Is the buyer (source: Wile E. Coyote)
It was my understanding that at the end of the 10 weeks a buyer would be known and this action is to get us through to then. I personally don't see that happening but stranger things have happened. I believe if there is a buyer, few will be spared.
Also heard that South florida had a potenial buyer but they were an online school no ground campuses at all and didnt want any. They would be buying the students not really the ground school itself or the employees.
"If you know how long...then say it." I can tell you this, sometimes it takes months for state approval, other times the approval comes right away. Some times it takes months for DOE approval, other times it comes quicker. Some times it takes months for accreditation body approval, other times it comes sooner. The total process could take from a months to many, many months, depending on how fast the various approvals are secured.
The fact is, no matter what they tell you and what you think, there will be more job loss. And probably sooner rather than later.
This company won't live long enough to see a sake. I think there was an intent, but outside forces have basically shut out access to credit and potential students. This company is failing and hard. There are quickly going to no companies to sell.
NO business sells with a guarantee of keeping employees! And bye, do you think Jack Ass gives a shit about you at this point? I have up that dream long ago.
I get it. Everyone is praying a buyer will save us all. But that won't happen. They'll dump us all first.
If they had buyers, they would not be cutting costs like this. I doubt there is a buyer.
There is likely no sale. Nobody on this board would be privy to that information and it would never leak. There are no buyers.
Facts please? You demand facts!!?! Hilarious!!! Man I needed that chuckle. Everything's fine. Nobody's losing their jobs. It's all golden!
23950 Thanks
They were hoping Santa would buy them out last xmas.
Somebody stated in another thread Heald and Everest were sold...announcement on Friday. Since no other information was given, I think the original poster was just looking for more information. Not that it matters for CCI employees, new owner will clean house anyways, that's what happens to companies in receivership. It's more than a little annoying that any CCI employee thinks a new owner will keep them employed. No new owner is going to keep remaining elements of a company that the government shut down, they can simply blow the whole thing up and start over...and they will. Of course, IF a new buyer actually materializes.

If you know how long...then say it. The pressure is on now so I would think the pace will be faster but I could be wrong. Just curious about who the buyer could be that everyone is whispering about.
Have you read how long it takes to get state, federal, and the accreditation body approval? Even if a potential buyer is announced today, it will be months before any deal is done.
