Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

As much as some hate to admit it

Bain Capital has a long history of rebuilding bad companies into good ones. Dunkin donuts and dominoes pizza are 2 examples. Of course, Bain cleaned house in both instances, but they also are strong companies once again.

Do you not remember that David Poldoian, who once was the head of online (in '12 or '13), used to work with Mitt Romney at Bain Capital? There is no chance of Bain Capital taking over any CCI related company. Maybe there would have been a chance of that when Poldoian was there, but not anymore.

Domino's and DD both own their real estate and have continued cash value (and maybe credit.) apples and oranges. Bright shiny, juicy, delicious apples and oranges after a winter long freeze. Not the same.

You can turnaround companies that still have value. CCI is losing what little value it has by the minute. I doubt a company will buy it simply to turn it around. Remember they have govt $ (DOE) and accreditation issues. And enrollment freezes and band. You can't turn around everything. No. If any piece sells, it will be by an existing brand to take over campuses. Turnaround is least likely option. Closure is higher on the list.

So? Are they buying CCI? You have this information? Or, more likely you have no connection to CCI but want to school is on what a turnaround company is. There are lots of turnarounds. So what?
