Some of IT people went to lunch on Friday for farewell party, they went to a restaurant happened to see CIO meeting with some recuriters for interview.

What do you expect? The high level high paid management will move on to high paying jobs. Hell, probably a lot of them are getting a bonus to stick around until the last light goes out in a few months, just so they have some leadership left.
One person is leaving. And one of recruiters knows one of IT persons and come say hi. Actually it is Thursday , not Friday. It spreads out as a joke in IT
What I want to know is why you described it as a "farewell" party? Do you know something that we don't? Or was it just for one person who is leaving?
How do you know they were recruiters?
