The fulltime staff at Heald San Jose are asking for all fulltime staff at all Heald campuses to call in “sick” on Monday, August 4th to show CCI that we will not just roll over and let them require use to take a “voluntary” week off. If they want us off so bad, then they can pay us ALL for a sick day and cover the jobs we all do for a day. Hey Jack, hope you like teaching, advising, and all the other tasks we do while you sit in your office and screw the company.

Anonymous25150 is right. The money is drying up. Better to take your vacation and sick time now. It is not likely going to be there in 10 weeks or so. I think we should take the "sick" day on Monday. It will help us see just how bad the money situation is at CCI. I bet that they don't have enough to make it through the month of September! Then were will your vacation and sick time be....gone. Jack will be using that money to take your vacation for you!
Everyone who keeps talking about lawsuits is adorably funny. With what money are you winning a lawsuit? There isn't going to be a company to sue. And don't worried, they aren't worried about your petty threats. They are so far up crap alley, a new stinker hardly makes a difference.
25106, CCI won't exist for lawsuits. And if by chance you would win, your lawyer will want you to take a lowball offer so he doesn't have to go to court (too costly.) and he gets 30%+ expenses. So, if you are banking on any kind of money, you will be sorely disappointed.
Anonymous25106 don't forget Monica Delgado changing grades to minimize the number of student that are lost through SAP. The whole place is one corrupt network of cronies. The campus president always saying he wants thinks done by the book, but he never mentions which book he is talking about. His play book, most likely.
I saw this happen once at another school. Everyone throwing their arms in the air yelling charge! About 10 people showed up to protest. In my experience, most people will get scared and bail.
Ok, so who is willing to step up and name themselves, so when people get scared and bail, we know who to blame. Who is the original poster? Who is managing this so we can ensure an actual impact? If it's just a group of anonymous blowhards, I wouldn't do it for money.
There are no program directors here! They don't care. They're not going to spend their weekend trying to get you to call in. First, then they will have to work. Second, they'll have to delegate work. They are busy trying to save their own behinds.
What form are you referring to about having another job? Did that go out to all campus employees?
I wonder how many of the Do it! Do it! folks on here are Program directors and administrators trying to make people afraid. I am not afraid to say that I am an instructor from the Heald Hayward campus and I will be calling in sick on Monday! I am sure the directors on here will not have the guts to say what campus they are with. Let's make the program directors work for their shit pay and corporate bullshit!

Think about this, anyone who filled out a other job form in the last few weeks is the first to see the pink slip. If you have another job and they know about it, you are prime for a lay off because they will not have to pay unemployment, you make too much from other employment. Our campus is loosing people at a rate of 2 a week, voluntarily leaving. This ship is getting so light, that in another month, students will be teaching the classes. Anyone who thinks a sale is going to happen is as stupid as Anonymous24969. Keep you head down and that way you will not see the door hit you in the ass.

I'm not doing any such thing. I'm keeping my nose down and doing my job. I hope that I will survive any layoffs and maybe even stay through teach puts. We all won't be employed with this company when they sell or close, and I need to keep my job as long as I can. And, who do you think your future bosses could be? The very bosses you have now. This is a very small world. And people have long memories. Yeah. It sucks. But at this pint I an on keeping a job as long as I can. Good luck showing them! I'm sure anyone cares! And btw, has anyone considered how you are going to MAKE them pay? They don't have to pay sick or vacay. You are borrowing trouble. I hope you enjoy your day off. It could be the first of many. You guys are so stupid. There's no power in numbers. They have no choice. There's going to be major layoffs soon, followed by the sale/closing if all CCI schools. All you'll gain by that is a pink slip sooner. You are so stupid. They want you gone. They can't afford us all.
You know how that works? Everyone's on board until 90% of the people don't. Then the few who do look bad.
You get that the company is tanking. You'll be fired in the first round of layoffs. But that's cool. Gives me job security for longer.

For any full time teachers out there who are not going to call in sick on Monday, you have to refuse to cover another full time instructors classes or this doesn't work. Those of us who are calling sick don't want to make more work for you. Let the Program Directors and Directors of Academic Affairs earn their money doing it!

Why not wait to do this till the next start day. Online has a mini start august 25. Imagine the slow down if nobody showed up and management had to help the 2000+ new starts go to class
