25409 and 25412: What the hell are you talking about? Are you mad that you were let go already? I made peanuts at CCI as a full-time instructor. I make twice as much at a real company, not teaching but in the computer field that I taught. So you continue to troll around on these boards while I make a great living at a stable, ethical company.

"Having an advanced degree is not a guarantee, or even a predictor, of getting the next job." Sorry, but maybe you should look at the unemployment statistics, which prove just the opposite. In fact, the unemployment rate for those with an advance degree is the lowest of all the education levels.

This is just a guess, but I'm betting that those who have been with CCi the longest will have the hardest time. I've known instructors who have recently quit or were laid off. They've taken a long time -- over a year -- to find their next jobs.
Highly qualified instructors, those with advanced degrees, will be fine. Those who are over-paid, yes, you have reason for concern. Especially if you can only command $11 per hour on the open market.
I bet all you instructors are thrilled to be working as an online tutor next - for $11 an hour!!

Angry? Not me. I already have another job. I saw this coming a while ago and began job hunting then. Only sticking around to get a few extra paychecks.
I am an employee and am laughing at cci's demise. In my time teaching here, I learned that there are millions of stupid people in the world. The CCI students were the worst I have ever seen. Having to outreach to adults that are supposed to be in college is a disgrace. Thank you to the admissions staff that could care less who they could talk into signing up.
Not all of us are angry. I'm laughing at the campus president and directors who think I am buying the lies. Who's fooling who?
