Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Let's get back to business. Anyone know what retention is so far for Everest's summer term?

The only concrete info I know is that online has 700 sections currently running and full. At an average of about 25 students per course (mine are at that average), that's 17,500 students down from the figure of 27,000 I've been seeing. I asked an admin directly if online adjuncts had been laid off or not given classes and was not given a straight answer. I only have about a dozen students participating actively in each course.

Shhhhh! Don't tell any potential buyers that retention has always been crap and it's just getting worse.

I'm sure it's very high. That's why they are cutting pay, benefits, positions, stock in the toilet, and oh yes toner. The writing is on the wall. All that is left is the band playing. Titanic sinking don't get suck under, head to the life boats.

I've been here three years and it has never been worse. I'm not privy to company-wide retention stats.

If you get an answer, it will probably be a troll. Retention is very bad and the peeps who know what it is are not going to let us know.
