ECPO Faculty Council Meeting canceled at the last minute, FTF meeting rescheduled...somethin's a 'brewin. Who knows what. Anyone on-ground notice and impromtu meetings or cancelled meetings?

Friday, August 15th is a scheduled in-service day (student break). In-Service has been canceled, we are asking those of you that are interested in taking an unpaid day off, this would be a perfect opportunity for that. If you are going to take the day off, without pay, please email me back to confirm this.
On-Call Faculty, will not need to attend work on 8/15/14. If you are on sure if you are on-call please check with myself, Drew, or your department chair.
If you are not taking the day off without pay. Please make sure you come in (normal work day hours), and have a productive day. Cleaning up all the classrooms and labs. Long Beach

How about they can't afford to ha e you sitting around in meetings....? They need to pay you to actually work.

That's the second time they've canceled the meeting.
Ugh. Yes, probably. The language of the email is super cryptic too. Not that all CCI emails aren't. Complete speculation but when things like this happen so close to a payday, it has me nervous.
This is the second time it was canceled, this time there was no reschedule date. That seems ominous considering everything that is going on. My hunch is that they know they cannot answer the questions that will be asked?
