According to the Dept of Labor, upon separation from your company, earned vacation pay (under your company policy, or practice) must be paid.
I stand corrected, California does have laws in place that are different from the rest of the country. It's just that the questions about vacation time and severance has been asked and answered so many times before. I guess the correct answer should have been, if you work outside of California the answer is NO.
26438, you are partly wrong. Any California employees must be paid, it's law in cali, and were not part of the use or lose.
Csc is CA pays out warned vacation.
Answer is NO. You either don't work for a CCi owned school or your retention level is the same as most of our students. This was made clear back in the spring when they changed the vacation policy. How many people are going to ask the same question over and over again.
Yes, CCi gave me vacation in return for the vacation I earned.
When they changed from accrual to giving it all up front, that changed the pay out requirement. No longer required to pay it out because it is now given and not earned.
Most companies do, but I wouldn't count on it here. Or... They will say it's your severance
So when the vaca policy changed they didn't make this change too? An Ecp employee told me they heard that with the wipe out of vaca and allotment of hours it starts over at the beginning of each year and is not paid out at termination. True or not?
Has been previously. No assurance in the future.
