Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

My crystal ball says

I was dumpster diving at CCI today and came across a paper that said there were at least two perhaps more equity firms that but in bids to purchase Heald. The note also said these two firms currently do not own schools nor do they have the infrastructure to run the schools. They would use CCI as the service model. Then a bird flew in and said the DoE was happy about this because CCI wouldn't be the owner of the schools. The Title IV money would go to the equity group and CCI would get paid by the equity group based on the servicing contract. I am not management but I am an employee at the CSC

CCi is not needed to run Heald College; we have very competent leadership.

Anonymous26551 - If that's true then I must say you have really, really good salespeople! Are you sure they're not mafia? But, seriously, that's bullshit. Nobody wants Socle. Heald maybe, but not Socle.

At Socle we are still being told that none of this can affect us. Rumors here are that there are buyers lined up and they've agreed to let us continue processing financial aid when they take over. We're hiring and for now nobody is losing their jobs. I'm still not sure if I believe all of that, but we have some great salespeople at Socle. And by great, I mean that they are masters at pulling the wool over potential clients' eyes. It could be true.

Oh, good! CCi has such a wonderful service model it would be a real shame to flush that down the toilet. Retain the model that killed the company.

I'll take who used to provide Heald IT services for $100 and who takes care of them now, Alex.

No way would they keep cci corporate to manage Heald. Heald has it's own team, that's why they brought Eeva Deshon back.

Cci management would not run it. Heald infrastructure management would.

Sounds like they got themselves an offer on the table but will it be ok for Jack. That takes care of one problem but there are other schools waiting for a resolution.

My Tarot Cards said cci bought lottery tickets. Let's just say we don't have to pool our money to buy them out, now! I'm not management, but I'm an employee at ECPO.
