Socle Education

So CCI's Socle Education, their technology based Financial Aid, should be up and fully functioning by now. Many employees were severed and left go because the were going to be replaced by this new CCI entity. Are they truly "improving student satisfaction, retention and, ultimately, the student experience"? Is Socle working one-on-one with CCI students, speaking personally with them, addressing their concerns, guiding them through the Financial Aid process? Is each student assigned a specific Socle representative who is handling their Financial Aid, someone that they can contact with their questions or concerns? If not, are Socle people just processors, and I have to speculate, what is going to keep their jobs here? Himanshu H. Shah, a major investor in CCI, seems to have this company by the nose, leading it in the way he feels it should go. He could strongly encourage CCI to move those technology jobs a continent away. The best thing that could happen here, as far as U.S. students endeavoring for a real education, is, stay away from CCI/Everest/Heald/Wyotech. It's a trainwreck.

@ Anonymous12501, your question about a student being assigned a Socle rep, the short answer is NO. Socle is treated as a production job, they are not allowed to talk to anyone at the campus, let alone talk with a actual student. So YES, the Socle reps are just processors, how many widgets can they get done in a day, etc. If the school emails the rep who processed the file, then the person at the school is yelled at for contacting the rep and taking away from their workload.

Camden- Are you kidding? Unionize a turnip to get blood? The moves CCi is playing are why people unionize. That said, there is no reason to unionize CCi now.

@Anonymous12503, if you want a union, what's stopping you?

Being delisted from NASDAQ isn't a death sentence. It's close, but there are other ways to trade the stock or to profit from it. For example, a 12-pack of Charmin sells at Target for around $6.00. You get 264 sheets per roll, so that makes 3168 sheets. If you shred all your worthless CCi stock and reconstitute it into a similar product (which would improve it significantly) you might be able to sell it for as much as $4.50.

cc just needs to go away permanently! They don't do service to anyone much less the "student." They will soon be de-listed and with that goes the worthless stock that board members hold. But that is little solace to those who are loosing their jobs

This is the kind of crap that make one support unions. CCi is simply moving the work to a new person, and then gets rid of the employees with years of tenure with the company. The whole admissions department also needs a union. The whole "the student didn't enroll so your customer service is crap" certainly is not within the current regulations, but what can one do when the wolf is in costume? None of this really matters, however, since I still predict a bankruptcy in 2014. I'm not predicting a liquidation, but rather, CCi needs some serious reorganization.
