Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

To Camden Kid

What happens if money is owed from law suits and cci declares bankruptcy. Are the plantives just out the cash? What happens to all the pending law suits waiting trial with them? If they declare bankruptcy but the trial takes place anyway and cci looses.....do the plantives get paid or not?

Dahn is a sociologist, not an attorney. Read through his postings over the years and you'll see he has very little knowledge about the law.

Ok- it's plaintiffs not plantives and it's loses not, looses. Let's hope you're not the attorney in this case. You might as well give up now.

I'm not Camden either but I believe in bankruptcy any outstanding wages owed employees take precedence over all others followed by government and banks.

I'm not Camden, but a Federal Bankruptcy Judge will stay all other actions. The payment when there is no money is not possible, but dividing up the little cash is what is done during the bankruptcy process. This is over-simplified.
