Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Even as midnight rapidly approaches

Enrollment STILL stands by the practices of CCI. "It's not illegal" is my current favorite defense of what these bloodsuckers have gotten away with for years. Hard sell tactics, outright lies, and fraud are and have always been acceptable to "hit numbers." You had your fun, now the ED (finally) is having theirs. Maybe a little poverty and humiliation will serve you well. Enjoy explaining CCI enrollment practices in your next job interview. KARMA!!!

The nice admissions reps are the ones who suck at enrollment and end up fired. The good reps who hit and exceed their numbers are complete assholes. They care for nothing, NOTHING except hitting a number. If you have a chat with them over coffee, or if they smile at you in the hallway, it's because they're trying to hit a number. Manipulative and sociopathic assholes. True story: I taught at a for-profit, and one day a rep was so desperate for an extra enrollment she tried to recruit ME as I was walking to my next class!

I was a regional (left several years ago) and I can tell you that each campus is very distinctive in their admissions culture. There were some that I had absolutely no concerns about. Students had no complaints about the process and tended to grad. In others there was a culture of dishonesty and backstabbing, a sort of Glengarry Glen Ross sense of desperation (these were usually campuses whose admissions teams did nothing for two weeks after a start). Others had a definite used car salesmen vibe. So it really varied.

14810 you should not speak for everyone. So if all those people where doing all the stuff stated your just like them. You could of spoke out. If there supervisor did not listen go the next step and so on. The last thing could of try get correct. It just sound like you tolerated and makes you not ethic. I know there people in this company believe in helping student. They even are working today. They never cross line. So telling everyone pass and present did something wrong. So your talking about yourself as well. Said your so full speaking out now. Way to go

Conversation I just had with a "chat live" representative. This is a last ditch effort to get information as my school isn't telling anybody anything, and the denial is so thick, it's palpable.

Please wait for an Everest representative to respond.

You are now chatting with 'Britany'

you: Hey Britany, what can you tell me about Everest and the Department of Education's Memorandum of Understanding with the school? Have you heard anything from upper management about future buyers of Corinthian Colleges?

Britany: I have not heard anything yet but you can contact your campus.

you: Oh yeah, I am a current student and they are behaving as if nothing is happening. It's super weird/shady. They even denied me the ability to talk to my campus President, after Corinthian sent out a mass e-mail advising concerned students to do just that. Thanks, anyway.

Britany: Things are happening but I do not know exactly what is going on.

you: Google it, honey, you need to know as an employee The Department of Education is suing Corinthian Colleges, and it doesn't look like anyone is going to buy it. I would apply for jobs at night and begin polishing your resume. I do not mean this in a condescending way, but in a helpful way. Best of luck to you!

Britany: I am good thank you have a great night.

I find it humorous that every admissions person states "it doesn't happen on my team/campus..." If it doesn't happen, then why does CCI STILL refuse to hand over documents pertaining to enrollment practices? What do they have to hide?

I have not heard any admission reps at my campus state any false information to any prospective student. 14810 you are ignorant. Every campus must be different because the stories I read do NOT coincide with our amazing team that cares for these students. Let me guess you got fired for not doing your job and now you are mad. IDIOT!

14804...what did you do about all the "other" enrollment crew and enrollment directors who did everything I stated? Nothing? Then you didn't act ethically now, did you? Inaction is no different than doing it in my book. You tolerated the environment, you are just as culpable. KARMA. In hindsight, you should have spoke up. You would have probably been fired, but you are getting fired now anyways. If you got fired a year ago, you likely would have a new job and not subject to the current disaster.

Well .... As per the department of education, CCI will either sell or teach out ALL US schools. That means CCI (4th floor) will be able to manage all Canada schools. They no longer will have the huge empire.
