They just cut the funding for the Skype credit for the online employees. They said it was a low priority and not to "read anything into it". Funny, 3 months ago they required using Skype to communicate with the students. Now its not a priority................

If you think this is a drastic move, you'd better adjust your expectations.
I don't think that losing Skype is surprising or of any concern. It really isn't necessary and we know that the company needs to slash costs. If they cut something we really rely on to do our jobs then I'll be worried.
The calls work, but if you run out of allocated credit for texts, etc. it will not be replenished.
My Skype still works, it may vary by the campus you work for?
