Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

I swear half the people here would justify prostitution if you need the money. What's next, Iceman was a nice guy? He had a family too.

If you do not support prostitution, you are part of the problem. Richard "The Iceman" Kuklinski only sought to take care of his family. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXgi72W2H7U

Not everyone at CCi was unethical, obviously there were employees that were unethical because if there weren't CCi would not be under INVESTIGATION! Hints the reason we are on this site maybe?

15311 Maybe you knew and kept doing your job. I know what career services tells me and I know what I see with my grads and students who get jobs, I see those successes. Those who are not working I continue to encourage them to not give up and it will happen for them. I don't know the inner workings of any department I don't work in any more than they know what goes on in admissions. I don't see their reports or sit in their meetings and vice versa. If I take a prospect on a tour and someone verbally tells placement or salary, I stop them mid-sentence and provide a disclaimer that the official placement information is included in their enrollment paperwork that we can go over at my desk and that salary needs to be researched via BLS.GOV and that the information given anecdotally is likely not a reflection of typical entry level expectations. Anyway, I sleep fine at night because I know what my role has been in this mess.

15306 where does the information come from? Reps operating within the law don't create the information. They present what the campus gives them to present; what is submitted to the regulatory bodies for the previous reporting period which we believe to be true and accurate. Where is the question about legal and ethics there? Certainly not with "the player".

Telling people falsified career information is legal, ethical?

I think making blanket statements that all admissions lie, cheat and steal is the problem. Some do. Most do not. Folks have been down right mean on this board when the majority operate within the parameters of the law. Prostitution and murder are illegal.
