Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Ex Longtime Employee CSC wrote, "This company was a great company until the original partners stepped down and left the shady, greedy and incompetent at the helm. They hire Manager's that "a-hole" must be in the job description. They harrass the employee's that have been there since the company started and then bring in all their old "buddies" from their previous job. Of course they always get promoted . I can think of very few people (besides the partners) that have actually retired from the Corporate office. They don't even know what the word "loyality" means. It is now and has always been an understanding that if you go to HR about any problem you can bet that you'll be gone eventually. They definitely represent the company, not the employee. I can't wait until they finally put out the "CLOSED" sign (and they will)." Source: http://www.thelayoff.com/corinthian-colleges/post/709007

You know, what you said about HR really got me thinking. I hadn't put it together before, but I've known two people here who went to HR with serious issues. One was laid off (not during the Feb or May layoffs, before then) and another was put on a PIP and then fired. Both had legitimate concerns that were not addressed, and both were gone within 6 months. That is so pitiful. Glad this company is going down. I hope none of the HR people get jobs in the field. They don't belong in HR.
