Luckily I took my severance when it was offered - too many good people that were there and still are, intermingled with the crooks and thieves.

There seems to be two camps: "All the good employees already left" and the other camp "there are lots of good employees left." With so many good employees, why is this place going down?

I have a hope more than a guess. That is that any potential purchasers will be reading this message board and realize that there are valuable employees in most areas (except maybe admissions) but that all levels of management in this company are rotten. There is real value here as long as you weed out the problem children. Committed, knowledgeable and ethical folks who kept trying and are still trying to serve our students.

My guess is Everest University Online will be purchased by a for profit looking to expand into the online education business. It's profitable and easily consolidated into one location.

A guess...admissions & FA at teach out schools, high school leadership, regionals/divisional at teach out schools, online in Tampa and COS and Florida as a region will be gone. Then they will consolidate regions and group schools for sale.

Best case scenario, the campuses are bought by a non-profit educational provider that will focus on delivering strong academic preparation.

Middle scenario, the campuses are allowed to be taught out over 1 year that will give students the opportunity to finish & faculty to see them graduate.

Worse case, campus is closed or the teach out is given to local community colleges or county technical schools. All employees are out of a job.

Either way people suffer because of decisions that were made above for profit. When will those decision makers be punished for doing this to people?

BTW Socle isn't what it seems. You should read the conversations about Socle downstream on this board.

My guess that Admissions will be first if schools are in teach-out. If you're not enrolling new students then there is no need for admissions. Also, it is possible that finance will be next because there are no budgets needed. Also, CCi has Socle Education as a subsidiary that will manage finance. http://socleeducation.com/

Hopefully they will share the plan with staff and students on July 1.

We keep seeing posts like this, but most seem to just be assholes messing with people. If you have any knowledge of this, then let us know how. Otherwise it would be polite to add a disclaimer to your posts. Something like "I don't actually have any idea of what's going to happen, but that's mu guess."
