Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

NOT.

Appreciate thoughts to try and save this company by "taking it Christian" but that would be severely inappropriate. Their integrity and accountability printed on their pillars, which were to form the foundation of CCI, look great, but, as we have learned, this isn't who they are today. A decade ago, this company may have been established for all the right reasons. Believe it or not, there were once people who worked for this company who said "do the right thing, even when nobody's looking." Unfortunately those people were replaced with people who agreed to "do anything to make us some money". Like most Cancers, this all happens surreptitiously over time. When a company can't stand up to their own self-righteous, self-determined covenants such as integrity and accountability, they have no right to shop the Christian population now to shore them up. Again, good thought but, not an option.

Is there any source for these talks of 'Christian Conversion?'

Clifford has had success with bringing in a religious set of backers. He can get the capital to save schools.

I do not think making something "christian" makes it have integrity. It depends on the people. Plenty of "christian" who lack integrity.

Anon 15025..I prefer to give them over to someone who could better judge than I, and to let them wrestle with their own interpretation of Christianity and humility when they are all finely suited up and speaking down to a crowd that barely has food enough for their family.

I'm a former pastor and full time prof at a large Christian university. I thoroughly agree with this post. Using Christianity to make money usually turns out very, very poorly for all involved.
