Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Can we get serious?

There are jobs and peoples lifes on the line. Lets keep the joking aside. If the bid to sell to a private Christian group is true, that will help everyone. They need to know that the workers support them. If not they won't want to but the college and we are left with nothing.

Set up a joke thread for wierd stuff. Keep the information about the buyout real here for poeople wanting to keep jobs and help students to reach their goals.

Nothing has been said about the buy out, because there are no investors willing to buy for what CCI is selling. Even if there is a buy out...the new owners are not going to keep the current employees.

It amazes me how many heartless people are on here. Given you are on this website I am guessing you have been laid off. If not then you don't know how hard it is. What kind of person says "screw your job"? Several of us actually care about the students and employees who work here. Yes, there may be a few bad eggs but what company doesn't have those. How would you like it if you had no income tomorrow? If I lose my job I may very well lose my house. I have 2 kids and I am their sole supporter. I love my job, the students and the people I work with. It's people who have no heart out there that lump us all in with the bad egg. We are trying to do good things here and help students succeed. Learn compassion people! Is this really how we help each other as human beings? I get you may all be upset with the company and that is your right but when you say CCi needs to burn and be out of business tomorrow just remember there are a lot of lives that rely on those jobs and students who rely on the education. Before you post, remember to put yourself in the employee's shoes who are trying to do something good with this company and those who rely on the income to support their own families. Good jobs are not so easy to come by these days.

No sympathy. Corinthian needs to burn. Find a new job.

I am having faith here. Like it or now, there are buyers out there. It is easier to take a college that already has students than it is to try to expand an older college. Liberty is an option, but with Heald in California, the Clifford takeover story is likely true.

Ill quit adding such craziness I am sorry,

sincerely Jesus.

But Tuesday is the latest Tempe site was informed for any update but recently a few higher ups are resigning the 3rd of July. Regardless of the BS post on here the probability of keeping most schools seems nil when not only Everest and Wyotec faculty are getting the same bit of news from the public sectors. Regardless I am sure the decision was reached last week, the real question should be now... are we getting paid for this new 80 work week were half way in?

I get that Heald and Everest are separate. Is the buyout plan only for one school? Will they get merged?

Rumors on this thread are killing me. I have a feeling that this buyout talk is real, but nothing has been said to employees. Keeping positive as someone else suggested is a good idea. Can anyone confirm what has been written here?

The only serious thing I see here is that the college is closing. My hope is that whoever the Christian group is can get a deal done by Tuesday, or the last paycheck was the last paycheck. Not good.
