Anonymous16379 I am a military student at a EDMC school and the VA has been inquiring with us students on a monthly basis. They are ready to cut the head off the snake and don't need congress to tell them to do it. The military bases are starting to get informed and they will put the word out to all members and their families to avoid these schools. It does not take much to be put on the black list and every base across the country has one and they contain businesses by name to avoid all together. Word of mouth among a million service members and their families will have an impact in short order.

I suffered from layoff anxiety since they started happening a while back - There's a lot at stake. Wife and kids are counting on that paycheck. Mortgage as well. What I did to alleviate it was to finally polish up my plan B. I calculated my unemployment, looked into state programs for the unemployed, mortgage assistance, actively began building a database of contacts and potential fall back jobs. None pay what this does. So some of us are renting out rooms, purchasing rentals, taking out equity loans while employed, and thinking of ways to bring in an extra $600 to $800 a month.

As far as the future of the company you just need to read between the lines and do some research, reading Google finance articles and decoding the jargon. They have a grace period of 3 months. I doubt creditors or the DOE will allow another waiver but I could be wrong. In the meantime, as West mentioned, they will cut unprofitable areas and strengthen others. Where will they cut? Onground schools? Online? Which of the 4 schools is least profitable? Will they merge departments? Eliminate middle management?

It is highly recommended to read up on Johnson, the chairman they brought in who turned around two failing large companies. Very entertaining reading. You need to do some surfing to get to the juicy bits http://triblive.com/business/headlines/4819172-74/heinz-johnson-ceo#axzz36A9fGD53

If you ware waiting on government interaction I think there is some time for you. Nothing moves fast with the government. I honestly hope the funds are restricted to for profits. They prey on the military and try to act like they care. Veterans Day was not even a paid day off until last year they started giving they off most likely because of the pure irony.

Keep an eye on the VA, if they start cutting off funds the whole company will have to change over night. The entire For profit industry will have to do a major Re-Set! Read up on the 90/10 and the GI-Bill.Com Scandal that the For- Profits were involved in. The For- Profits should have never taken advantage of Service Members, now they are going to have to answer up to it. That cash cow is about to go to the slaughter house. P.S. I am a Student and a Service Member and I know what I am talking about.
