coco stock when private company takes over

what will happen to the shares if private company take over Corinthian college? unfortunately I have 4000 stock which I cannot sell now.

Campuses will not be sold as stocks because the new buyer will have the liability of CCi's prior actions. The CCi campuses will be sold outright. The best guess is that the stock value will not increase with the sales of the schools. Critically think about selling your stock.

If the stock is worth about $.20, no buyer is going to purchase it for $2.

It will sell for a percentage over the current market value (a premium). Say .35 per share.

Likely your stock will be worthless. No one is going to buy the entire company. Small parts will be sold, and once all the legal fees and lenders are paid, there will likely be nothing left.

You should get paid what ever the stock price is. Say the company buys it for $2 a share then you can sell for $8,000
