And there's a strong chance it will remain open permanently. Most people are angling for unemployment benefits and the opportunity to find something better rather than desperately grabbing at anything, and waiting it out is the best way to achieve that. Sometimes, when it seems like the people around you are stupid and you don't understand their choices, it's because you're the stupid one.

I think it's amazing how people don't have a clue how to look for a job while they still have one. Great idea to wait until they boot you out the door to start the process. Unbelievable. But reactive mode is the CCI way so not surprising that the employees still there are also in reactive mode.
