I have worked with Dani's services for several years now. She's been nothing but professional and helpful. She provides exactly the services she promises and will always be quick to respond. I have recommended her various services to colleagues and they have been impressed as well.
It's certainly not impossible to be successful without her services (as many posters have mentioned), but I have found them to be very helpful and time saving.

Joined Dr. Dani's facebook page and sent her my CV for review. Her review contained some useful information, nothing eye opening, but useful enough to make some edits to the CV. Ultimately, I admire her hustle and moxie. If she has leads, awesome. If not; it's not the end of the world. Any critique and feedback I can receive on landing more online teaching jobs I am most appreciative. Most of the information she has on her website I am aware of through my own job search efforts, however, it is comforting to observe that others have developed and possess the same techniques.
The bottom line is that many of your are venting and directing your anger at the wrong person. You're scared and hurt about the situation and are lashing out at the only one who has offered you any help in this time of madness. Who cares if a profit is attached to the help? What job leads did any administrators at Everest pitch to you during this teach down?
Keep your hustle strong Dr. Dani! Surely any educated person with a scintilla of common sense and/or a dash of street smarts can sense the jealousy and fear in your distractors' postings.

While I am most certain that a number of you will have some sort of criticism to belittle me with once I make my post, I can assure you nothing you will say will have any effect on me. First of all, I will critique your posts.....a number of you listed your name as anonymous... I would assume that would be due to the fact that you are afraid to publically be called out for your unprofessional language used in the posts and in the event that you are teaching one of your students might see the language you use on public forums. Secondly, learn to use spell check. Third, you want to criticize Dani Babb for her efforts in assisting others - her use of email tactics to reach faculty members was not unethical in my opinion. If you go to nearly every website for colleges and universities you will usually find a complete list of faculty members and staff available to the public with all of the information needed to contact them. I have known Dr. Babb for quite some time and I have found her to be extremely helpful both in the educational and business realm. She is very knowledgeable and has a level of professionalism that many should wish to be able to achieve. I have studied under Dr. Babb and spoke with her one on one and I can truly say her heart and desire is to serve others not herself.
Clearly, the layoff situation at Corinthian is a touchy issue. Someone offers assistance to those who are affected by the layoff and they are crucified, belittled, and demoralized. It truly is a dog eat dog society that we live in.

I was one of Dani's job leads clients and later worked with her directly. She sets her employees', students', and clients' interests above her own. There are much easier ways to make money with her skillset, but it is her passion for higher ed and us as instructors that fuels her. I ask that you take the offer to help in the positive way it was intended.

Therefore, how is it unethical or wrong to use email addresses that are public knowledge? You are presenting her email as forcing you to buy something. Almost all applications ask you for short essays about your teaching philosophy and other scenarios. By paying the Babb company, they are writing it for you. How unethical!!

You must be an Everest graduate and not know how to do your own CV and applications. I will continue to take more of your leads for free while you pay for someone to do all of this for you.

While these accusations could sound legitimate in many avenues, and I understand the skepticism, I can wholeheartedly attest that I have been a beneficiary of the good works of Dani Babb. I have even recommended her to several other people who wish to begin work online. I applied for 70+ jobs with my professional resume, but no luck. After having Dani revise it into a CV, I applied to two jobs. After two years, I am still working those two jobs, for which my experience and expertise is completely related. I began by reading her book and decided to employ every strategy - what did I have to lose? This book made the difference for me - I needed to develop a mindset. I did. I subscribed to her lead system for about 9 months. Today I am happy with the changes I have made in my life, as it has allowed me to move forward instead of backwards. Remain a skeptic...it's your loss. It simply creates more jobs for forward-thinking people like myself.

No problem, Alissa. You can get job leads FREE on the Internet, not pay $7 a month for them from Babb. Ever heard of higheredjobs.com, going on a school's website, etc? It takes no more time than to review her 'leads'. You can also do your own applications without having to pay lots more $$$. I got all of my MANY online jobs for FREE without having to pay a scammer for any services. If you need her services, you are probably not qualified on your own to teach and need inflated CVs and SUPER ANSWERS/ESSAYS for the questions most teaching applications ask. In other words, the workerbees at her company do your writing for you - a form of plagiarizing.

Hey folks, I have an idea. Do not get that job lead service for that $7 bucks a month as this is "obviously" get rich scheme! Instead, go apply for unemplyment and contact the same president that crushed your employer for some job leads!! Why would you take a chance on a person with proven record of counseling others and helping them out when you have a social system that will help you succeed?? Haters, I'd love for you to do this as the jobs are dwindling and there is too many of us out there anyways
A Facebook page is asking Dani's customers to share their experiences in these threads. The initiator is saying how "it brings her to tears" that people are bashing her. Just be on the lookout for positive posts from her 'friends' in these threads. Heck, she probably will pay them all for sticking up for her scam business.
Babb is neither a scam artist nor a predatory salesman. She wrote a book offering basic but useful advice and runs a company that provides some free advice and some paid services like job leads. She makes no exhorbitant promises and charges no exhorbirant fees. I've found her advice useful and benefitted from her vitae review.
Nothing Dani offers is magic -- but she enjoys helping people and can support folks' job searches with useful resources -- nothing more, nothing less and nothing scammy or disreputable.
Sheesh, she really isn't going to stop, is she? Please everyone read the other thread (started by Babb) for more info on this scam artist. Look up her name on YouTube. She's a serious regular on Fox News and gets on as many tv shows as she can, as a "real estate expert", "work at home expert" or whatever they are looking for. It's hilarious!
I can only speak from personal experiences, so take it for what you will. I read Dani's book, "Make Money Teaching Online" in 2007. I applied her principles she wrote of in her book and gained many teaching opportunities as a result of consistent effort and her suggested approach. As the economy tanked, those teaching jobs saved my family's income as my spouse's job in real estate collapsed. As the industry changed starting in 2010, Dani's groups - Make a Living Teaching online on Facebook, her Yahoo group - provided support, ideas, and encouragement for absolutely no cost. In 2012 I started using her job leads service which provided biweekly leads in my inbox to jobs in my field for very very little (at the time it was $7/month). That meant less time hunting around for jobs online and more time that I could use to apply for jobs. As my teaching responsibilities grew, I was able to use more of her services to augment what I was already doing and to ensure against future problems with colleges (like CCI is having), with federal legislation, and with the adjunct lifestyle. For me, the key to job security in this crazy industry was to diversify. So yes, I'm a proud supporter of Dr. Babb, and she always delivers a ton of value for what she charges - and most of the time she charges absolutely nothing. All I can say is that if it looks "planted", it's because Dani Babb has a huge following. In the recession, I was struggling. I came across Dani's book and followed her plan. I arranged a consultation ($200.00 - my choice!). Within 18 months, I was making almost $200,000/year. Why wouldn't we come forward to support Dani?? You would if you were me! She does not take a percent for job placement either. It is $7.00/month for job leads. Most things are free and I bought the book on Amazon of my own free will. I adore the person who saved my family --we were in foreclosure, my God! Listen, she has supporters... Of course she does!

When does she do that between running her recruitment sc...er...agency, as well as being faculty at 50 colleges and running a real estate company and writing 8 books? Oh, that's right. Ah, I love the descriptions: great friend, utterly grateful, genuine, heartfelt, work smarter/not harder, now have a six figure income, amazing, caring, simply trying to help. I'll tell you what call Insight global and ask what they charge the employer when they place someone. Some IT placement firms charge the employer and others charge the person they place.
It is sad to read some of the information being posted about Dani. She is an amazing and caring person who is simply trying to help those impacted by the school's closing. I have known Dani for almost 6 years and she does everything she can to help people out in any way she can.
Her services are very reasonable and well worth it. I have most of my schools because of her job leads and getting my CV in order. Competition is tough and getting tougher, so sometimes you need to spend a little to make a lot. She also takes time to provide personal assistance.
She is not a fraud and those that think she is should try her services and you'll see how wrong you are. Also, she works more hours in a day than most of us ever dream of. That's how she teaches so many classes.
It is best to do your homework before passing judgment on someone who only is trying to help.
19502, I used to work for a ace like this. It's reverse recruiting. Client pays but you do all the work on your resume and your director tells you what changes to make and how to answer interview questions. Pretty basic stuff you can find in a book for significantly less money.
For a faculty position, I would never pay for these services. All jobs today require you to plug your information in the college or university database anyway. You don't really even need a CV or resume anymore.
If you need whatever extremely vague services this woman claims to be selling. Do your homework. It's very expensive and you'll have to sign a contract. You can find same services elsewhere and for much less $$.

Has anyone ever questioned who teaches Dani's courses for her? She is on the faculty at 50+ online schools. It's humanly impossible for her to teach at all of these schools by herself. She hires people to teach them for her.
Wow is all I can say here. You can tell by the posts who actually knows Dani and who is here to make stuff up and talk trash. Dani isn't a placement company. Dani isn't preying on the faculty. Dani isn't going to pressure anyone into buying anything. Can you purchase services from her? Of course! Do you have to in order to benefit from her? Hell no! My wife has never spent a dime with Dani and has benefited greatly just through the free services. She now has a six figure income from online teaching. She probably could have figured it out on her own, but why reinvent the wheel? Why not use the resources available to advance her career? Dani has provided our family with so much more and has never asked for a dime. Why are all these 'plants' here? Maybe because the online adjunct community is actually a very small, tight knit community and when something like Corinthian gets shut down, the impact is great. Maybe because someone other than Dani saw this thread and told many others about it. Then those of us that know her decided to share what we know to counter those posting things they don't know. With this small community, blasting someone that has helped so many will eventually come back and bite you in the ass. There are many friends of Dani's that do the hiring and firing of adjuncts at many schools. Eventually, what goes around comes around.
