20021, I totally agree with you. I am an honest hard worker, who has been thrown in a very awkward position not of my own making asked to continue in a manner which has become untenable. I am not going to quit a sacrifice my future for something I am not responsible. I am riding this ship all the way down until I am thrown a life preserver (unemployment, at that time I will move on. Who are all these people saying "just quit" they are surely living in denial.
Don't degrade the UoP board like that.

It's not general anger, it's being ticked off at dumb-asses tsk tsking us like they're the SNL church lady and we're children. They're either mgmt thinking we're dumb enough to be lectured into busting our butts for their sorry company, or idiots who need to mind their own business. Besides, who are they to criticize if they're on this site posting? Shouldn't they be busy working if they're the mindless subservient cattle they are so proudly representing themselves as? They are not from a "different" generation, they are from a generation nearing obsolescence.
there sure are some angry people here and the anger goes beyond cci. lashing out at so called old people who happen to be of a different generationa nd work ethic than you. You are here to bash cci for their behaviors and I strongly suggest you look inward at your own behaviors. The very thing many of you accuse your managers or supervisors of are is the very same way you act and respond hee on this board. What is the old saying: people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Why would you seek to turn on others here beause they have a different point of view and perspective or lash out with anger and F U word and old people comments?

You talk about work ethics but what about business ethics? Is enrolling students knowing there may or may not be a buyer for your campus an ethical thing to do? It isn't a far stretch to go from a sell school to a teach - out school. Students are taking a gamble enrolling in every CCI school right now. The unethical thing is that they don't even know it is a gamble. Can you still be a top performer in this situation and sleep at night? I can't and I will not quit until I find another job... That is just a bad financial decision so don't even go the route of telling me to just quit.

19992: You know what really is sad? Once this is over and done with, I'll have a new job and a bright future ahead of me. You'll be the old guy/gal awkwardly interviewing with much younger interviewers. Hey, here's a good tip: spend the interview talking about your "work ethic" and how the damn kids these days are total idiots who wouldn't have survived the great depression. Trust me, the new company will be really impressed. You'll be snatched up in a heartbeat! Not.

19983 your post accomplishes what....to try to attack others on the board? A person takes a job - they work and have a work ethic. If you grow to dislike the job then you leave that company. If you stay and are so unhappy it only infiltrates into your own core and life. Life is too short to be unhappy.

Why do jobs end up going over seas? And @19986 that is right, let's be a generation of blaming someone else for a person not having a strong work ethic. Clearly some of your people were not around back in the depression when if one was hired to sweep the floor, they not only swept the floor but they went over and beyond because it was their work ethic. Stop blaming management or finding scapegoats to justify a lazy work ethic. There is simply no excuse. Sure people can get frustrated, sure people in some management positions certainly don't belong there but there is something to be said for self respect to have a work ethic. Otherwise you become a user.

i have a stellar work ethic, as I have been with the company 10 years, of which 7 of them I went to parthenon.
but guess what? now, i really don't care. i do my bare minimum dials and bare minimum interviews and i call it a day. whether they show up or not, whether then enroll or not, whether they give me a 10 escore or now, i dont give a F*CK. i'm sure you can imagine how my attitude went from hero to zero.

the posters below are probably the upper management bastards. the original poster of this thread most likely did not have a "half-@$$' attitude when she or he first started. the liars and dumb@$$es of this company probably made this employee to be upset.
i am one of the top performers and even my attitude has dropped, as i am just doing the bare minimum. treat your employees like sht and sht comes right back.

IF there was a buy out of cci, it is no wonder why would seek to remove current employees and replace with fresh employees. A new company has to get rid of the poison so it doesn't impact new employees who come in fresh with fresh attitudes. People like you, doing the bare minimum, make this exact point.
And a new employer would hire you why? Do you can do the bare minimum? Sad to see the work ethic in this society anymore...take and use until you find smething better and in the meantime do the bare minimum and we wonder why this country is sinking to a low producing country and jobs sent over seas etc.
