Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Has SFS/Socle had any meetings in the movie theater? If so, what was said? What's the mood there?

No meetings here... not one... at least not for us that aren't in management.

meetings? what meetings? these upper management bastards think that the people on the bottom end are dumb. some might be, there are also some smart ones.

Had a program meeting yesterday. Not one word about our jobs, whether we would get a paycheck, nothing. Everyone smiling and happy like robots.

Where are these campuses that are having "meetings"? Are these all-staff meetings or jus management? It sounds like you have one every week. Are you kidding me? Are you sure you're a CCI campus?

19111 you're obviously a cp or doa... it's unfortunate that the job market still sucks and now I'm competing with the rest of the 14000 cci employees all looking for new jobs. So no I won't quit, I'm gonna look but until I find something I'm gonna ride this wagon to the unemployment train so I'll at least have some income while trying to get hired. -- signed smiling and dialing disconnected numbers

Those jerks ALWAYS rule by fear because that's what losers and dictators do. North Korea is the same. I was an employee for three years and was berated by the DAA. She told me I could move on if I didn't like the abuse. I did.

A real CCI employee here...because I was. I have heard that and more during my three thousand, six hundred and fifty days working for CCI. Well over ten years if you factor in all the days of mandatory overtime. Remember that CCI is still working with the same fractured infrastructure that it established long ago. Unbelievable that the DOE has provided them somewhat of a reprieve and they boldly go forth, enrolling students and intimidating employees with no humility whatsoever. If you are open to a little personal advice, get your resume updated, state that you have to leave this company due to personal conflict and your standard of ethics.

I don't think he's disgruntled, unfortunately when the company starts eroding benefits, it might be time to go because it is a sign of the health of the company. When they first changed the vacation accrural a few months ago, that was a clear sign that they were cash strapped. The company was responding to a dire situation with their balance sheets. They had to cut benefits, and those who didn't like it found other companies to work for with better benefits. It's the job market.

Boy, Anonymous 19901 sounds like a disgruntled employee. I seem to be one of a few here that really seem to care about the students that are stuck in the middle of this. You seem to only care about yourself. What about ME, what about ME. People that are passionate about education do it for the students. You same people that complain that the company did things wrong that effected the students are the same ones now complaining that because the company is following the rules it's effecting me. You do have an option if you hate working there so bad, quit. I always thought it was kind of crazy that CCi would reimburse any ones tuition for going to a competitors college.
