It was just a couple of weeks ago engineering was strongly encouraged to apply to the many job openings elsewhere in the company. These were supposed to be a temporary situation until more work comes their way. I wonder how many in engineering filled those spots. They had until the 8th to apply. Now that the time has passed, those jobs are now open to the public, and engineering is fair game for the RIF. Good luck everybody.
