Has anyone heard anything about the Heald sale? We were told there'd be an announcement today, but no one knows anything. They're acting like they never told us there would be any announcement today.

28516 - I used to work at South and had forgotten about the personality tests! Do they do that throughout EDMC? I remember how hard it was to hire someone, since I had to justify that their "personalities" (the results of the dumb tests) were compatible with their job descriptions. It was all very silly!
Well, the rumors on the investment boards are that we'll be merging with EDMC. For one, I think if anything does happen with EDMC, it won't be what people think of when they think "merger." I used to work there and don't really see it happening at all. VERY different cultures. If it does happen, I guarantee our managers will be out. The rest of us will take personality tests to see if we keep our jobs (really, I'm not kidding).
The market closes at 1:00 pm pacific time.

We were told we'd have a big announcement today, too. What happened? Nada. "Keep working hard and don't worry! Business as usual!" The only thing that DID happen was that a management dodo got a promotion and raise. Just great.
