36748 - You've hit the nail on the head and distilled out the very heart of Socle's dysfunction. DS. Him being in a leadership position tells you all you need to know about KD's competence.

CB? God help you! last I heard she was gone. So WE'RE paying for her to live in a hotel and drive a rental car?!? That is so messed up. I swear, our management have an amazing ability to piss me off even when I've thought I couldn't be pissed off any more.

I hear ya Socle Colorado Springs! That CB sh*t is so wrong! Makes me sick that the company pays for her to fly to Florida for her vacation at Disney and help her BFF move. Waste of money to keep her and give her the special treatment. But as DS reads this (we know you do, we can hear you), he will just continue to make excuses for her. He will say that this one person dislikes her. No, LOTS if not EVERYONE dislikes her. Save on payroll there.

No, I meant CB, the ex office manager in Colorado Springs who quit, moved out of state with her rep boyfriend, then got brought back in with a made up position and has been getting housed in a hotel with a rental car all on the dime of CCi. Her communication skills are akin to an angry Silverback. If it had been TF at least the message would have been delivered in a hyper active southern accent.

Go type Socle into an image search, and you'll see many examples.

633 - what 635 said. It's not an acronym.

It's an ancient Greek word referring to the base that supports the columns (get it?). A secondary meaning in Webster's is "golden chariot filled with the blissfully ignorant."

Socle has many expenses but little revenue. I wonder if the Doe know that title IV money is being used to get Socle off the ground.

We have so many managers who "work" right here in the office, why gossip about the out-of-towners? So, so, so many chiefs, and you ALWAYS have to use the quotations marks around the w-word. Trust me, you don't want to accidentally see what's on DS's screen when you walk in.

Anonymous36596 - is that why you guys have so many managers who "work" from home all over the country? It sounded mind-boggling when someone described it to me. Denver, Melbourne, New York. I don't remember the others. And that was before they started talking about the regional sales reps. I asked what they all do and the reply was "nobody knows."

36599: we basically just do cheap call center work for other colleges. We're not a high-level financial aid operation, as anyone who works at a campus knows.

I'm so glad Socle is there to secure student loan funding for other colleges. They done such a GREAT job for us.....LOL. Maybe Socle can put other colleges out of business too or, Jack can suck all the cash out it like he did Heald and Wyotech.

You guys really don't get Socle. We don't have many clients, and they are nickels and dimes types of contracts. When CCi goes down, we go down. We're still going to get special treatment, though, until the end. If anyone wonders why we don't get furlough, why we have so many managers (probably about one for every three actual workers), or why those managers only seem to work around 20-30 hours per week, it's simple. there are "golden children" who may hire any friend, BF, GF, relative, etc and work or not work as they please. Why? Because they have evidence of financial aid fraud that goes to the top and would implicate Jack and his cronies in possibly criminal charges. This has been going on for awhile.

Yeah it is quiet but that's only because we're trying not to get noticed. We are 100% exempt and if I were on the other side I'd be pissed too. Our pseudo boss (training director, but she still wants to treat us like she's our boss) gave us a disgusting lecture on Friday about not telling anyone that we aren't getting any furlough. Really? Like we don't have relatives, spouses, and friends on the Everest side? Like we're really not going to talk to anyone? I'm so sick of the management over here acting like we're deaf, dumb, blind children. But if anyone wants a job, we're hiring 40 new positions. Yup you read that right. Guess where you're furloughed money is going.

SOCLE sucks. They can't even get the small enrollment packaged for Wyotech's start next week.

SOCLE is not and has never been in the discussions about the fate of the 3 CCI colleges.

It looks pretty quiet at Socle. I'm thinking they have employees on furlough.
