2 of my managers jumped ship within the past 2 weeks, and our director announced a 'reorganization' to our department last week. They've been having us track our productivity for the past month....an electronic version of The Bobs. I'm terrified. I just bought a house. The last people hired in my department were me and two others. I'm the only one out of the three of us that don't have kids. If layoffs come to my department, I will be getting the ax, because i don't have a family or kids to support...

Corporations don't work that way. You are at no more or no less risk by not having children.
