I have been with Everest for a little less than two years serving as an adjunct math instructor. To those of you that hate, I do have full time work elsewhere. I just took the Everest gig to help accumulate more online teaching experience.
For those of us (and you know who we are) that really have tried to teach and put our students best interests first, I salute you.
It is my sincere wish that decisions made by Jack and Company had been in the students best interest. Obviously that has not happened.
We can still do some good for our students, even if our employer will not. I call on all of my faculty peers to show ethical practices even if our employer has not/will not.
Let us finish this term and do what we must as INSTRUCTORS!!!!
Do not engage in outreach, but due engage your students. Send them emails of encouragement during these last days.
And on October 6th, please post a farewell announcement in your class(es) containing these words: Success is a journey... not a destination. You will rise again!
