That's right. Westwood College online just performed a reduction in staff but are keeping it VERY quiet. No announcement from the College. No filing to the Department of Labor. Just layoffs without any notice! Not good Westwood.

I used to work for Westwood. It is owned by Alta colleges, not affiliated with CCI, but has been under the same scrutiny for misleading students. Just as much of a joke as CCI, just without the bad publicity.

Start by clicking the contact us button on thelayoffs.com at very bottom of page ask them to add Westwood college.
Can you start the thread by listing what happened (based on your knowledge) - what levels, how many people, dates, what was said, what the plan is etc. I get your point that there is not much discussion here, but typically someone needs to start a thread and then people pile on to either correct you or to add info. So, really, you'd be in the best position to help here.
Yeah. Very familiar with the WARN Act...now. A notice to their employees would have been ethical, though.
You seem to imply that there should be some warning and/or anouncement regading layoffs. Neither is required by law (excpet for those rare instances that meet WARN Act standards). You will not see any warning at CCI, or any public announcement - unless it involves the closing of a campus. Most likely you will see a story in the media after it gets wind of a layoff.

Then why don't you start a Westwood thread? Everest (Corinthian) has enough problems of it's own.
