My PD is assigning classes for Oct term and mini and lots of adjunct will be without classes. They are increasing class size (again) to 35 and offering a fraction of normal classes. A sad time for adjunct and ft.

That was good of your department to at least let you know. I've not seen anything from ours.
Our department got an email saying they would try to give everyone at least one class next term but no guarantees because of the low number of classes offered. There are very few of us left that are teaching this term. I only teach pt and thank God I have a full time job elsewhere.
I am an adjunct online and I have one class this term down from 3-4 previous terms. I have been told they do not know about class assignments for next term but as my branch (ECPO) is not allowed to enroll new students I assume that there will be even less classes and am not expecting much (good thing they wanted us all to go to a training to keep ourselves "eligible"). I have other universities that I teach for and have been applying and have gotten a few bites so I am hopeful to make up the lost income. I am not one of the instructors that will just pass students so hopefully having some integrity and ethics will pay off!
Can anyone feed anymore rumor on this subject. Will it be bad and many not get classes? I know Everest is terminal, but I suspect they will try to teach out. Hoping to get a few more classes.
I am an adjunct teaching Business Math. Up through this term I was teaching 2-3 classes per term. With everything that has happened, if I do get offered a class next term, I do not think I will accept it unless there is a bona fide sale to announce that ED has approved (highly unlilely IMHO). I am back in school myself working on my second Masters degree for my own interest and curiosity (not for continued employment with Corinthian ... or any college). Good luck to everyone!
Your PD is actually very optomistic......
Didn't know there were many left. ECPO gave most of us the boot last term.
