Today all will see how much of an idiot Jim Eickhoff is. His 3 years at UOPX were a disaster. Many good people will be laid off this week because Eickhoff had no idea what he was doing and led them down an idiotic path.

eickoff may have been a little dopey. But he had a big believer in Barry, he made lots of money at UOPX in a short amount of time, got a fat severance, and DEFINITELY scored big with his many encounters with the queen of NAIT. Did he really think no one noticed?
It is apparent that the current leadership isn't any better though...the way the layoff was handled was unprofessional and degrading.
Jim and Barry took us in the completely wrong direction. Taking 95% of our resources and applying it to 5% of the opportunity. An incredibly costly business error that cost them both their jobs and the university tens millions of dollars in lost revenue potential. It was so clear what they were doing was wrong. Most of our agreements are with employers with less than 1,000 employees. Astonishing it took so long for Barry and Jim (and now Rock and Chuck) to get fired.

I don't think Jim or Barry did anything that you or I wouldn't do. Someone calls you and says I have an idea, here is a big bag of cash, hire your friends until this money is gone. No one cared it was a bad premise. This new premise is a bad premise. They just don't know it yet. But everyone in WFS: reapply for your jobs and pretty your on board with the new strategy.
Over the past 24 months Jim did make the unfortunate decisions that directed Workforce Solutions. He is the reason 200 people in WS were laid off. 100% his responsibility for his shockingly poor decisions. 4 rounds of layoffs under Eickhoff during that time, and now this...we agree with the posts below...He is a complete idiot and was an embarrassment to the University.
Jim wasn't make decision alone, there were a lot of other people who went along or gave him directives....

Not only at WFS but many other departments. Managers willbe hit hard this time. Finally.
I despised Eickhoff. He was such a babbling idiot. We are all glad he is gone. Glad Chuck Parker will be gone as well. He was almost as bad as Eickhoff, almost.
More than 50% of WFS terminated. Eickhoff had no strategy whatsoever. This could have easily been avoided. This is not a prediction, just a heads up on the decision that has already been made. You can thank Jim Eickhoff for today's rif.
