business development has consistently been the single worst-performing entity at cse. so of course it makes sense to expand that worthless group while getting rid of people who are actually productive.
I heard they're doing a voluntary reduction first, then if they don't make the magic number, an involuntary one in January.
Heard this same rumor (Oct 23) today at CS-E. So either it is true or too many people are reading The Layoff. By the way be sure not to read or post to The Layoff at work, it would violate the spirit of the Ethical Moment.
