Thread regarding Education Management Corporation layoffs

Yep, I have personally seen them tap down the guys who speak up as troublemakers. Oh, they talk about how they have an open door, and how the people are the Brain Trust, but say anything that conflicts with their corporate talking point and they will soon find a reason to push you out. And they will make a paper trail to cover their behind in the process.

Albiet the orginal post was written like a 4 year old, I believe it's a very valid point. I've heard the word transparancy over the years EDMC many, many times. I have heard it, just don't see it.

We just sit at the edge of our seats when all the Managers are in a room together. It's awful. We just sit and wait and wait and wait. Let us know what our future is.

They'll never say anything that's honest. It's usually some "corporate speak" that is nothing more than smoke and mirrors. You can tell, in any of the schools, who these people are. They try to make others feel like they don't know what they are talking about or they work to paint a picture that goes against everything that is obvious. And if it IS obvious they will try to make you out to be the problem. There is no honesty and definitely no concern for anyone who speaks up for what is right. They just try to find ways to get you out. It's just a matter of time for those "troublemakers" - they'll be shown the door. EDMC wants drones who are OK with being used and treated as though they're expendable. Want proof they monitor this? Watch the responses to posts where a good point is made, they'll be the ones making a negative, childish retorts to undermine the validity and shift focus.
