Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

More RIF/layoffs to come

I just heard that there will be more round of layoffs starting this Friday. Looking at reducing admissions teams by one third.

If your managers are denying this its because they don't know yet. They will be told to be in early Friday so that they can walk you out. They want all RIF done by noon.

PIP's and RIF's will both happen and soon. People will go on PIP's and then when the next wave of RIF's occur. It is a way to control who is let go otherwise it is left people up top who have no clue who they are letting go.

ECPO hasn't been enrolling since July, they moved all the admissions back to EUO recruiting, and let be serious would the company keep hiring more people with they were going to do another RIF.......wait they did that back in Feb.......dibs on the TV in the break room to cover part of my severance.

30430 they can hire 2 reps for my check...PIP is just an excuse. If I wasn't effective I would have been gone long ago. I wouldn't be touched by layoff but they can sure fire me.

rIFS in admissions are true. The lead flow, or lack thereof, does not justify the current number of admissions, and they do not believe the lead flow will increase anytime soon

0383- All of ECPO has a terminated October start. That means NO new enrollments for the entire online school. Don't need that many admissions reps when you're not enrolling new students.

Cool. 1 more check. I know I'm toast Friday. I've been on the longest PIP in history.

I am not sure about the states but the layoff part is true. I guess there was a meeting today where the plan for more layoffs was discussed. Mainly right sizing admissions again based on student pop since most other depts are already scaled down and admissions is now over staffed in many places due to a high school merge. The plan is the write up underperforming employees to rid them rather than base it off of seniority. Also looking at other nonessential redundant positions ad well. I guess we'll know more next Friday.

Not sure about Washington state. The rest are true though. CA may happen ad well from what I heard. That state is a mess.

I heard rumors that California may have to stop as well due to another AG filing but I think it is just speculation.

Relax people. The only way they would reduce admissions would be if we were being forced to cease new enrollments. But I have only heard of that so far in Chicago, Minnesota, Iowa and Washington state. The rest of us should be okay.
