Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

12000 employees whose 2 week gross pay is $1500=$18,000,000.

And that does not include CCIs portion of health insurance premiums and social security taxes per person. So, to be conservative, the total payroll for this scenario would be roughly $23,000,000 costs to CCI. Now, given that the cash position of CCI is roughly $20,000,000, even if CCI ignores ALL other bills...how does CCI stay open to the end of September? Further, how does CCI pay a severance to laid off employees, while mandatorily refunding students?

I'm one of the two week notice lay off group. And I am just sitting around doing nothing. Feels like severance to me.

Definitely not even close to 12K employees these days, Mr. SHORTSELLER. You are a clueless fool.

They should discontinue 2 week notice too, do it on the spot, gone, saves cash

CCI is not offering any severance packages; they are just laying off employees and they give the employees two weeks notice of their layoff. The end.

I you all would just accept theFACT you are NOT getting any severance. Every paycheck you get between now and Jan 7th is your severance. And that's not looking too good either. I have accepted it. Still have a job
