Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

DOE has a hard on for CCI

The DOE has a hard-on for CCI, and everything is going down like domino's.....EI has lost title IV funding and will be gone soon. The two EI campuses had about 160 students, with will all need refunds. The problem with refunds, there just is no money. EC is next on the DOE hit list. DOE simply don't like diploma mills, or a college CEO like Jack (off) giving them the middle finger. Wyotech is being parted out and sold off for sCRAP. Sorta reverse Johny Cash, one piece at a time (car parts, tools, equipment, and toner). That leaves Heald which will be sold. Being the only good brand CCI had, which was being sucked dry trying to keep CCI afloat. As Elvis said, "the end is near" ... and bankruptcy is just around the corner. EI is dead, EC is as good as dead, and Wyotech has no tool or equipment left to teach the students with. What a mess. Well, Fitzgerald and bankruptcy can sort it all out. Bye bye now.

The 30 Million is in place. That's enough to cover the miniscule portion of the student body being referred to with EI. Funds continue to flow for those clueless outsiders. yes, I Do Understand THE Debt Issues Are Very REAL And THE End Is near, But NOT Nearly As Close As You Would ALL belive. This will drag into the New Year if a Sale doesn't happen in Calendar year '14.

Check the teach out list all of the EI schools were on it, seems to me that CCI knew this was coming. The 30 million fund is already in place, that was the first thing we had to do per the DOE agreement, they had to have it before they pay payroll. Seems to me that this is a nonissue as these schools were already shut down. The real focus should be is ECP going to get their accreditation issue resolved so they can start enrolling. All the ground reps for ECP have been moved over to the ECPO center and are now recruiting for EUO.

Has that $30M fund been funded? Also just because there is supposed to be a $30M fund, what Anonymous31987 wrote is true--full refunds must be given, no matter the level of the student refund fund funding.

Thank you Anonymous31991. I keep forgetting to place ExHeald on my posts. I have about 20 years under my belt with all the years totaled up. I have worked the budgets and know what things cost. I still have many contacts with in Heald, Everest, and CCI. With CCI behind with everything, lease payments, vendors, stipend check, etc., a blind man with a cane could see the end is near. They even bounced stipend checks in Florida (08-28 & 29). The only positive thing I can say, is word has it the people at the top will be made accountable for what has happened. The board of directors at CCI will has issues as well.

Other than a minor technical problem regarding OPEIDs, and some things I cannot verify, such as ED's "hard on," what Anonymous31987 wrote is all true.
