Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Sorry, but

The LARGE amount of employees are holding on to false hope. This board gets frantic at the rumor of a buyer. But here is the thing you seem to ignore, "NO BUYER IS GOING TO KEEP YOU!!!" CCI employees, like it or not, have been ingrained with "the CCI way." The only entities who would be seriously interested in buying CCI (and we know none are) are other schools who will simply integrate CCI students into their current work flow and employees. No severance, no un-training of CCI criminal habits...it will be a relatively easy transition for the students. For you CCI dreamers who think that there is no way a school could do that, just wait until CCI total enrollment is below 30,000... at that time, and only that Time, a buyer will seriously look at you. By that time, Roughly 70% of CCI staff will already be let go. All the ground campuses will be closed or in teach out at that time and the remaining amount will be 100% online. In the event a buyer is ready to buy, total enrollment will have dropped to maybe 20.000 and half of what employees that remain will have been let go. Buyer will pay near nothing for it, fire the remaining employees, and the now near 15,000 students will simply flow into their already existing structure. If you think that is impossible, simply read the student capacity of Kaplan, UOP, and other schools in the industry. A 15,000 influx of ONLINE students is nothing for them to handle. Of course, this scenario ONLY plays out IF the regulators drop every charge, investigation, and potential fine..which is not going to happen. The only FACT or NEWS you need to know is YOU WILL BE FIRED NO MATTER WHAT!!!!

You obviously didn't read the post. OP specifically stated that if a buyer arrives (HIGHLY unlikely at the point), it won't be until the vast majority have already been let go. If I read the post correctly, it estimates about 1500 employees remaining when the sale is final. 1500 is easy to release, especially when the company only absorbs the 15000 remaining students estimated (which actually might be generous at this point). I think OP is overly optimistic, and with the extreme cash crunch we have felt, I expect large layoffs soon. Even with all the people who have quit in the last month, we can't even pay rent on HQ on time.

Yeah you're right asshole and you know everything. A new owner is going to fire all 12,000 employees at once and rehire 12,000 new people overnight to keep schools going with no interruptions in the student's education. Just gotta love all the idiot self conceived experts on here with the only goal is to trash talk and spread doom and gloom.

OP, what people? What campus/college do you work

For? And why do you care if people have hope?

Ditto 565. My belief has been all along that trolls are posting 95% of what's here. Everyone on my campus talks. We understand our fate. None of the people I talk to ever come here.

I don't know which large part you are referring to. What campus are you at, OP? Or are you basing it off of a few posts here? I don't know anyone holding out false hope.

"just wait until CCI total enrollment is below 30,000" I doubt CCi can survive that. There is no cash or credit, and CCi is already have a difficult time paying the rent on HQ with many more students.
