Over the time there many instructors worry about about their own thing.....student concerns and projects are only in the brochure. ......
Well, then the question is: What did you do about being told that?
NO SH$!, if they really where serious about there future a little effort wouldn't hurt. but a lot of the instructors a worried about keeping there jobs rather than educating students. Wait, just give them the answers and they pass. what kind of education is that? no student left behind. that's what the public schools do.
The problem is that the students who fail don't try. The curriculum is ridiculous. It's high school or lower as far as ease. If students aren't passing, they aren't tying, and therefore their asses should be out the door.

805 is right. if not the CP, then it comes from a PC. "let them retake tests,turn in missing HW, Or we will let another instructor give them another try at completing the competency. do whatever you can to get them through"

I would quit first. I worked full time to put myself through my undergraduate and graduate degrees. I never missed a class or a deadline (or work.) I paid for it myself while working full time. I would never, never, never give a grade away. Never. I
will quit before giving a grade of any kind a student did not earn him or herself. I'm not kidding.
Why would they tell you to do it from time to time? What the hell purpose would that serve? Ok, COCO.
