And there are NO managers here acting as a troll. AND the company does NOT need to give us 60 days notice of layoffs. That 'law' has a tremendous amount of loopholes. One of them is if the company is trying to be sold, they do not have to give notice. Just an FYI. We had a discussion about this back when actual CCI employees used to read our board. As far as I can tell, no department in any college was told they are being laid off at the end of the month. Whether a layoff is imminent or not is not my point. But beware they can happen anytime.

You aren't in a union...so you are at will and firable at any time for any or no reason. CCI is not required to give notice..and they won't.
746, no. Not an adjunct.
Anonymous32729 - but were you an adjunct who just wasn't given any classes? Not that I don't feel for you, but that's different than what most of us are keeping our eyes out for.
I and many colleagues were laid off between terms in July. No notice. Just a farewell and good luck.
I have not heard of any layoff 'notices' at any school. That info generally moves pretty quickly internally and throughout the schools. If I hear of any real ones, I am sure there will be posts naming the school and department. Once you're laid off, being anonymous doesn't matter anymore.
