Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Only for 2 Weeks....yea ok!

Everything is leading up to the first week of October. As an employee of CCI we have all seen extreme changes over the last 13 months. The fact of the matter is that when CCI says partial things except more shit ALWAYS follow. What it boils down to is that they do not have enough money in the budget for operational expenses as well as taking care of the the "72,000 changing lives student population" that we assist with. October classes are suppose to start on the 13th which means that student needs books, school materials, instructors (which are not affected by this pay decrease over the next two weeks), and especially paying for the buildings of the ground schools. IT JUST ISN'T ENOUGH MONEY TO GO AROUND. Now we know why our shift (meaning EUO-TAMPA) didn't happen for next week. This company already knows shit in advance and refuse to be completely transparent with employees and even worse with the student population. I doubt this whole 50% pay cut will only last for the two weeks. I mean look at all salaried employees who got affected with the 10% pay cut a few months and were told that by Oct 11th things should be back to normal. Then all employees where volun-TOLD to take up to 5 days of unpaid time off until again OCTOBER. Shit is about to go down in the first week or so of OCTOBER and CCI is too fing trifling to say shit. WHAT WILL BE SO DIFFERENT IN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS TO ALLOW ALL CCI EMPLOYEES TO GET PAID THEIR REGULAR SALARY AGAIN? F CCI

You will likely never see your regular salary again. You said it yourself. There's no money left. And even if they try for a fall term, how many students will there be? Our students are our sole source of income. They go, we lose money.

How is this a surprise to anyone? CCI is poised to close or go to teach out in Feb. even on a very tiny chance someone wants to buy us and DOE and accreditation bodies all approve, they won't be a cci school any longer. Which means they can fire all of us and bring in cheaper labor. And even if they don't fire us, we will likely get a big paycut Because if it does sell, it's going to take a ton of money to rebrand and rebuild. But one thing is for certain: Come 2015, CCI will no longer exist. None of this is news. That you chose to ignore it is silly. Take this as a big warning that it does not get better. At all. Ever. Sorry to be harsh, but the number of people with their heads in the sand is ludicrous at this point.
