How many current employees/instructors are leaving or looking for a job

Just curious. I am an instructor and am done after this term. How many other folks have already decided to leave or have turned in notice?

Yes, I have resigned after this term. I thought I explained clearly that I am not in business (was new to this school) to screw over vulnerable students. I told my dean I was disappointed in the school, his actions, the vision of the school, among other things. I will finish this term for the students, hoping that is helpful and not hurtful, although even that's debatable at this point. The level of corruption and greed in this company is nauseating. I hope the receive every legal ramification they have coming to them.

OP - the answer to your question should be: everyone. I left in Feb., thankfuly ahead of the parade. There is, in fact, life after CCI. Very refreshing to work somewhere (out of education) that my skill and input are valued, and where business is conducted in an ethical manner, providing value to clients and shareholdeers.

I think it also depends on if you're faculty or staff. As a faculty member, I have kept my options open during employment, so am not worried about being employed elsewhere, although the pay cut will be severe. It is rather difficult to find a teaching job, even as an adjunct, so I can imagine it's hard if you're an admissions rep or otherwise.

I began a new job search last spring. After 4 terms, I couldn't live with myself anymore. I still haven't found anything.

I don't think it's been discussed much at all. But OP, I think you will find those with their heads on the sand get mighty defensive very quickly. I hope not everyone is looking. I've been since the day of the announcement and it's bare bones in my field out there. I don't want any more competition. Those who stick it out will have their own problems looking. If someone does but us, they will probably offer $1200 per class and cut most full time faculty out. Too expensive to run a ship that will need to be come tell rebranded and rebuilt.

Wait....what? Why would anyone be looking?

I guess I have the right to post whatever I want. At least it isn't as bad as some of the troll postings.

Btw: Not everyone is looking. Some people have blinders on and are staying put. I was just curious how many people are actively leaving.

OP, why did you post this question? I agree that it is important but really, its been done to death. The answer is everyone is looking, even though you will get smartass replies to the contrary.

We are at will and can leave any time. You don't need to give any notice of any type.

No notice. Just not accepting any more classes. It took since June, but I finally got a new offer. It doesn't start for a few months but I'm done. I might not even be able to get my butt in to finish this term.
