As you all may know...VIC did not renew their contract with security company. Our Campus President is making the Program Chair, Dean, and faculty secure the building and lock up. The first week the CP said that the PC and a director would close up. I guess the CP got push back from directors. The DOA and DOG said they would help this week and now have backed out dieting long drive home & long shifts. I do not feel safe having that responsibility at night. How are other campuses coping and what can we do to push back. The CP makes us feel like our jobs depend on this and we have no say in the matter.

Let the students do it then the animals would really be running the zoo!

Why don't the Campus Presidents open and close the campuses. Just a thought, make them useful for something other than running thru numbers and blaming everyone else.
They won't do it because they know any extra or work at all really, will go unrewarded, as in its a dying ship. It's what had been going on for many months, it's finally getting to the point where everyone can see and feel it. Goes to show everyone on the board warning people they were being bamboozled and used by passive aggressive tactics and flat out lies, which looks like they are still using. It's not your responsibility to secure the campus, it's theirs but they are doing all they can to make you believe otherwise. Look at it this way, if you don't do it, will they be able to find an instructor to replace you? Bullying at its most pathetic.
